Today we’d like to introduce you to Moe Aduan.

Moe, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I began my career after graduating from the University of Colorado with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Since inception Moe’s company has helped more than 250 businesses and 950 individual clients with bookkeeping and financial reports, file taxes both current and past and bring with us years of experience dealing with the IRS and State and Local agencies on numerous tax issues.

For more than seven years, I have provided seminars and one-on-one consultations to business owners on business development, business entity decisions, and best practices.

I am also an active board member for The Mile High Club. Started in 1902, The Mile High Club is a long-standing tradition in Denver, Colorado. With quarterly meetings, The Mile High Club is a time for members to share ideas, engage in discussion, socialize and listen to a presentation on a broad range of relevant subjects. Some notable speakers have been; Woodrow Wilson, Herbert Hoover, Penny Tweedy, and Philip Anschutz.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
As most business owners will relate, it has not always been a smooth road. I opened Royal as I am passionate about finding creative solutions for my clients. Along the way, I learned a lot about growing my own business, managing people and creating a great experience for my clients. I started Royal with two people in a small office on Evans. As my business grew, I soon learned that I needed more people, more space and more processes. This was a struggle at first but also a wonderful experience as I grew and learned so much. Without these experiences, I would not be who I am today. Today we employed over 13 amazing people.

There are many ways to define success, and over the years that definition has changed for me. I grew up in poverty and moved to this country searching for something that I don’t believe I could have found in Palestine. My goal was to make enough money to help provide a better life for my family back home, that is success. Since then, I was able to move my parents and brothers to the United States and help provide them an opportunity to thrive, that is success. A lot in my life has changed in the last XX years and now I have two wonderful boys of my own, a thriving business, a wonderful business partner and most important I am able to surround myself with amazing and interesting people that is success. Now, my primary goal is providing value to as many people as I am able to, both personally and professionally. With this goal, I hope to have a long and positive impact on the world. I see this being a lifelong goal but hope that in the end, I can consider this a success as well.
