Meet Nicholas Butler of Fight Gravity Fitness in Rino

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicholas Butler.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Nicholas. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I got into Fitness over ten years ago when I worked in the Rec Centers for the City of Denver. I struggled with my weight at the time and began working out regularly. I lost a bunch of weight and people started asking me for advice. My boss took note and offered me a position to teach SilverSneakers which I grew the class from 4 to 40. From there, I went to work at CAC for a brief period before starting my own company out of my garage five years ago. Since then, we’ve grown to a brick and mortar location that offers personal training and small group classes!

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely has not been a smooth road over the years as the advancement in technology and saturated market has made things tougher but we continue to provide a great service and persevere!

Please tell us about Fight Gravity Fitness.
We specialize in Small Group Training and Personal Training. The intimate setting allows clients to get the attention they deserve to keep them safe and help them maximize their results. Our main focus is TRX which is a great tool for working the core as well as the rest of the body.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite memory from childhood is just organized sports and the joys that came from working towards a common goal as a team and learning to help each other through the ups and downs.
