Meet Nishetta Clay-Crawford

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nishetta Clay-Crawford.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Nishetta. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I’ve had an interest in photography since 9th grade. Five years ago, I took it as a serious job after having babies one year and two weeks apart. I couldn’t see myself back at a cooperate job that restricted my time with my family. So while I was on maternity leave, I took all The necessary steps to get my business running.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
No it’s hasn’t been a smooth road. Like any other business, I’ve had to learn how to balance my income. You truly have no days off as a small business owner. I’m my accountant, receptionist, editor, photographer, marketer and website designer. But it has been worth it.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
Nishetta’s Photography specializes in Family portraits. I’m known for many different types of photos Weddings, infants and album covers. I am most proud of my growth in this business. I believe my passion and drive to capture special moments sets nishetta’s photography apart from other photo companies.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I don’t believe in luck. I believe that everything happens at its divine time and is meant to be. Divine time has played a very big role in my life and business. Everything has fell in place right on time.
