Meet Omo Odia of The Mix Boutique

Today we’d like to introduce you to Omo Odia.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Omo. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
After being released from two jobs and struggling to book some gigs through modeling, I decided that I needed to create a safety net for myself. I initially started The Mix for financial gain, I realized that I had more than just a boutique. I had a platform that I could share with my peers and be as creative as I want to be.

Has it been a smooth road?
It definitely has not been easy. The biggest struggle was building trust in my customers. There are so many online places that people can shop from, and setting myself apart as a trusted brand takes time. I have learned that customers respect having a level of transparency with a brand. This in turn has really allowed me to learn my base and what they want and need!

So, as you know, we’re impressed with The Mix Boutique – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Each piece is intended to give women something different but with longevity. We have quite a few Bodysuits, but there are so many more pieces to choose from! I love to wear things multiple times and in many different ways (thank you for Laundry machines!). I want The Mix Boutique to show my sense of style while helping women create their own. I aim to try to slow “Fast Fashion” down with trendy pieces that last.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Denver is a city that is still in the building stages. Her is where you will see a new apartment building daily to meeting many people that are not from here. I believe that this is both a good and challenging thing, especially for creative people. You really have to prove yourself to make a name for yourself.
