Meet Perry Smith of Collection Cloths in Northeast Denver

Today we’d like to introduce you to Perry Smith.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Perry. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
The way I started was back in high school developing a need and want to dress nice plus not wear what everyone else had on. Growing up I’ve always had an eye out for cool looking things or different ways to dress. Collection Cloths started when I graduated from college and moving back to the city. I love Denver but don’t think we have a style that’s easily noticeable. So I drop articles of clothing that are different and also limited to where you know you won’t see everyone in the city wearing.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it’s never a smooth road starting your own business. Being a clothing line people tend to stick with what they know already so brand awareness was a big struggle to start off also just having the ability to make my own items to cut down on cost to increase revenue. Luckily I have a cool team to help me stay focused and motivated to continue pushing on and forward.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Collection Cloths – what should we know?
Collection Cloths is a clothing line that wants to bring you the best quality and best designs to everyday streetwear. Being a new company I don’t know if we have a true following in Colorado just yet, the California market for my brand is crazy at the moment.

But hopefully, with the collabs and features, we can build that this year in Colorado. I think what sets us apart is we stick to our numbers we make sure that we don’t release 1000 copies of an item or change the color of the garment to make it seem as if it’s a new design. Once we sell out of that item you’ll never see it for sale again. Collection Cloths wants to stand out by dropping new merch at all moments and pushing the issue of culture in every aspect of clothing.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Being detail-oriented is a big thing in my everyday life so that’s something the brand posses because of myself. Also consultancy we want to be around for a long time and stress that we will be coming out with some of the nicest stuff seen on any street.
