Has it been a smooth road?
The road to become a filmmaker is never smooth, and absolutely holds true for me as well. Although I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s been extremely bumpy road, my journey to get to where I am today has had several setbacks. Whether it’s financial setbacks like dumping all my money into projects that went nowhere, big international productions getting hung up in the visa process, bodily injuries, camera equipment injuries, all aspects of what I do require me to be ok with constantly taking big risks. What success I have had in my career is due to my ability to never give up and do whatever it takes to rebound from these setbacks. Constantly grinding is the only way forward.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
Fornever Productions is willing to get embedded anywhere on the globe, bare the most extreme environments and to do whatever it takes to tell the most difficult stories our planet has to offer, while maintaining the highest quality possible. There are so many facets that go into filmmaking. From the technical and intellectual to the physical and psychological. Every decision you make when creating a project, from conception to delivery is critical and the mission of Fornever Productions is to have a well thought out justification for each of those decisions. This “WHY” aspect, as we like to call it, is what makes us, well…us. To have objective reasoning behind each choice that defines the film, ultimately ends up taking it to the next level. This is the mission of Fornever Productions. To define purpose and continually ask “how does what we are doing right now fulfill that purpose?” and integrate this artistic philosophy into outdoor filmmaking and cinema. Whether it’s fictional storytelling, nature documentaries, travel adventures, advocacy and conservation, the objective is the same. Satisfy the “WHY” aspect.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Denver is a great place to be if you are an up and coming filmmaker. Or a veteran for that matter. There is a community of friendly filmmakers here so some networking opportunities exist. Not to mention all the beautiful locations within a few hours’ drive you have access to. The state of Colorado does a decent job at the permitting process if you need to fly a drone or shoot in national forest. They could however offer better tax incentives to bigger budget, out of state production companies that wish to make movies in our beautiful state. These movies bring in several millions of dollars and would employ several of local filmmakers looking for better experience.
