Today we’d like to introduce you to Rose Foos.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Rose. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Since I was a kid, I’ve always loved to create (making music—building treehouses with my dad—painting—sticking my nose behind a camera) and now, I get to create for a living. I love it and am grateful to have such wonderful clients.
I grew up all over the place, eventually planting roots in the beautiful state of Colorado. In my free time, you’d most likely find me sipping an iced vanilla latte, watching Friends with my friends, paddle boarding at Horsetooth Reservoir, traveling somewhere on my bucket list, or working on my 1950’s fixer upper.
A love of photography was where Rose Foos Creative began, and today I’m proud to offer much more: graphic design, website design, and custom art projects. Branding projects have become my personal favorite. I love exploring a person’s or business’s passions, goals, and DNA in order to create a visually appealing and intriguing overall brand. It never gets old!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It was never my plan to own and operate a creative business. To be honest, it kind of just happened, and I’ve been playing catch up ever since. I have no design background, so everything has been self-taught. It’s been a challenge, but I like a good challenge! In the last year or so, I finally have started to feel like I’m not playing catch up anymore. It’s been a nice break, but now I’m ready for the next challenge.
Alright – so let’s talk business. What else should we know about you and your career so far?
Rose Foos Creative is like a mini creative studio. I would say I’m most known as a creative all around, not just a photographer or designer. I guess you could say I’m a creative jack of all trades, and I love that. It’s always interesting, and I can’t remember the last time my business was boring. I’m proud of how my business has grown from nothing, and that I’ve never had to market myself. Every client has been word of mouth, and I’m grateful for anyone who’s ever sent someone my way.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Integrity, integrity, integrity! This is the foundation of my personal and professional life, and I’m drawn to other people and businesses that are like-minded.
