Meet Sarah Spurlock of Denver Counseling Solutions in Parker and Castle Rock

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Spurlock.

Sarah, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I personally specialize in working with couples. I moved to Denver from Chicago ten years ago and started a private counseling practice in the south suburbs. The practice has grown over the last several years to become a group practice with 15 therapists on staff and two locations. We work with children, adolescents, couples, families, and individuals. We are passionate about offering accessible, authentic, and action-oriented services.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Honestly, I would say it has been a rather smooth road. The business has developed very organically and steadily. I have been very grateful for the staff and clientele I have been able to work with and serve. I am always growing as a business owner and clinician, and have found that to be a very natural journey to navigate over the years. I look forward to and anticipate further growth and new opportunities.

Please tell us about Denver Counseling Solutions.
We work with all members of the family. Denver Counseling Solutions has a varied staff for clients to choose from. Clients will find someone on staff that will be a good fit and meet their specific needs. We are known for having affordable fees and accessible appointment times. Our staff are very relatable and our offices are very comfortable. Clients enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and our down to earth approach. We meet clients where they are at and help them find practical solutions to their problems. We love to listen and invest in our client’s stories. Denver Counseling Solutions is a larger counseling practice in the south suburbs. We have built a favorable reputation in the community and are proud to serve our fellow community members.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I have several therapists at various experience levels that inquire about joining our practice on a regular basis. I am very open to continued growth and welcome clinicians that are a good fit and have our shared values and vision and want to invest in our practice and the community we serve. I foresee opening more locations in the Denver metro area, and possibly serving all of Colorado by expanding our teletherapy services.
