Meet Shima Noga

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shima Noga.

Shima, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I got started modeling professionally in 2018. Prior to this, I modeled more as a hobby and to help my photography friends grow their portfolios. I have been passionate about modeling since I was 13 years old and did a glamour photo shoot with my sister. However, life threw me a few curveballs and I wasn’t able to follow my dream at that time. Two marriages and three children later, I am following my dream of modeling and sharing mine and other artists’ visions of beauty and love.

Has it been a smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I struggled with self-esteem and self-confidence issues, as well as being a young single mother in the military. I persevered by reminding myself that I am a strong person and if I could get through the hardships, then I could get through anything.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
I started off as a freelance model and I am currently represented by Wilhelmina Denver – Curvy Model Division. I specialize in commercial modeling and I hope to become more experienced in acting. I am so proud to be a part of Wilhelmina Denver and though I’m just getting started, they have been wonderful and very supportive of my dreams and career progression.

What sets me apart from others is that I’m not the “typical” model. I’m a mom, wife, and overall regular person. I continue to serve in the military as well as pursue my dreams of modeling and being a role model for other young women just like me.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
The Denver area is okay for models but not the most lucrative. It’s a small market and you need to make/have connections. If you’re just starting out, I would recommend this area, but know that you won’t make a full-time income working here. Bigger markets such as NYC, LA, and ATL offer more opportunities.
