Today we’d like to introduce you to Sky Armstrong.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I am a multidisciplinary designer that started Wolfberry Growth + Sales Rep Agency. In addition to this growth agency, I have a floral design business + am a graphic designer + art director.

I went to school for Fine Art and was perplexed that though we were supposed to be marketing ourselves, we weren’t offered business courses. I’ve worked with artists, galleries, small businesses and learned firsthand how these people often learned through trial + error – and how challenging navigating the business start-up + marketing space can be. I went back to school for another BA in business studies. While most courses were tailored for corporate companies, I always noted how these principles could be applied to craftsmen + small businesses.

I spent several years working + freelancing for dozens of small businesses across the country. After much reflection, I’ve finally decided my goal is to provide these business fundamentals to artists + help them learn + grow in the process.

Has it been a smooth road?
The largest challenge I’ve faced is being confident in my decisions + design voice. It is incredibly challenging to silence your inner critic and believe that your concept will work. It’s a lot of hard work + second-guessing + late nights, but it’s always been worth it to start my own business.

Wolfberry is a growth agency + sales representative firm focused on working with artists, craftsmen, small businesses + creative professionals. We offer business fundamentals to propel start-ups into new growth patterns. Our main goal is not only providing these services but helping brands learn + understand how they work. We’re partnering with industry experts in social media, web development, financing, etc. to provide a network of knowledge to our clients.

We have membership programs that offer continued support + guidance in addition to sales representation programs. These programs are taking some of our clients’ work to the next level in their business growth. We aren’t a typical agency in that we want our clients to learn through our services and are hinging our success on theirs.

Wolfberry is making representation + marketing accessible to artisans that may not have had the opportunity otherwise.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love + hate how small Denver is – It’s great to be quickly connected to so many people but it can feel very constricting once you realize how few people are actually here in your industry.

Denver has a wonderful creative heart + is a bustling community in its own right.
