Meet Stephanie Cook of Scoops in City Park

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Cook.

Stephanie, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I have always been very passionate about the service industry but my children are my ultimate passion. A little over four years ago we adopted our first child Olivia and two years later, we completed our family when we adopted our son Kavon. We were at the top of our mountain with our amazing family. Then we met our partner Glen Eastwood and he had the great idea to open an ice cream shop. We started collaborating ideas and soon opened Scoops Ice Cream Shop. We both live in the City Park neighborhood and really felt the need for more spots that friends and families could go and hang out. We truly enjoy it all from making top quality homemade ice cream to hosting birthday parties and even adult happy hours. We love building relationship with our customers and we are looking forward to building our business one scoop at a time!

Has it been a smooth road?
Overall it has been a pretty smooth road one challenge we have come along is keeping the winter busy so we are just continuing to try to spread the word about how we host birthday parties and other events. Ice cream is wonderful all year around!

We’d love to hear more about your business.
Our business is Scoops Ice Cream! We specialize in small-batch ice cream in creative flavors! We are beyond passionate in making flavorful, unique and delicious ice cream. We are also trying to create a space for people to enjoy on a regular basis with lots of fun games and coloring books. Some of our signature flavors are fresh mint chocolate chip, salted caramel cookies and cream, banana, raspberry pistachio swirl and strawberry cucumber sorbet. Are flavors are always changing so its fun to come back and see the flavors of the day we never use any flavorings or syrups its all fresh. Another thing we really enjoy is giving back to our neighborhood! We have participated in many fundraisers for schools in our community and enjoy having the kids come to the shop on a field trip! For Earth Day we let all the kids plant there own seeds and take them home with them. We will continue to give back to our community and make delicious Ice cream.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
We do feel like Denver is great spot for an Ice Cream Shop because there is so many beautiful sunny days here.
