Meet Stewart Tucker Lundy of Perspective Squad Media in Central Business District

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stewart Tucker Lundy.

Stewart, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Many years ago, I worked at BET doing pre-interview, as well as college and local radio in DC. I’d find myself spending a lot of time with the producers at these places, learning the details of their job, which began to pique my interest more than what I was doing.

I went into the world of stocks and day trading and stepped away from the world of production, but about 15 years ago, the fire that was initially stoked started to redevelop. My girlfriend at the time (now wife) has started a company, and I was editing commercials and video shorts for her. I started buying go pro cameras and refreshing my knowledge by taking a film editing course, and that’s when I developed Perspective Media, as well as working with Listen Productions. I’ve got a number of exciting projects on the calendar for this year.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Slight obstacles along the way, generally concerning studios and companies not having adaptive equipment, which is something the industry should be aware of, as many have a story to tell and share; and the individuals may not always look like what they’re thinking. I was able to get adaptive equipment for my home office, but an individual should have the option to work at home, or in any office/studio setting with ease.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Perspective Squad Media story. Tell us more about your work.
I specialize in editing video content, as well as putting together my own content, something fresh, that I feel is slowly making its way into the way we watch movies and talk shows, instead of that standard template. I’m looking to put a new face to the world of media and production, with my own spin on things, which can be controversial in a way people love, as I interact with the person to person; that’s what I enjoy putting into my projects.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
Some may say I’ve been “lucky.” I’m simply being myself; I try to be the same with everyone.
