Meet Trailblazer Hadeel Khaireddin

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hadeel Khaireddin.

Hadeel, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I have forever been in love with the beauty industry!! I can’t think of anything else I’d rather do. It was my dads idea to go to beauty school, and once I was there it just, it just felt like I was in my element.

I honestly thought after school, I would become a barber, but I ended up unintentionally getting into extensions and fell in love! It took this refined eye, and a level of expertise that I strived to create. Seeing the way a guest would flip her hair and strut out of the salon with all the confidence every woman deserves was just SO empowering to see. Seeing my own growth and pushing myself to get that seamless color match, seamless blend, was so satisfying! Learning to bend rules and create art has been so fulfilling.

It’s taken years of learning and building beautiful relationships to get to where I am today. And I always feel like I’m still at the beginning. I’ve learned about people, art, business, and about myself on my journey. It’s been rewarding, to say the least. ♥️

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I think being an artist in a business environment is a beautiful struggle. I think it’s a refined art to take a vision and have it translate in real life. We should always strive to be better, but be kind to ourselves along the way. I see so many talented artists come out of school, and become discouraged when they aren’t putting out Instagram worthy hair on day one. And I wish they would give themselves the chance to get over that hump, learn from the talented artists around them, and grow. We all know growth is uncomfortable. But it’s so insanely worth it when you see your game tighten up and get to that next level. That’s when growth becomes addictive.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Hustle Hair Studio – what should we know?
I quite honestly love all things hair, but I would say color and extensions are my things! Especially fantasy colors (still waiting for someone to want neon green hair, lol). I specialize in Tape-in, Keratin Bond, and Clip In Extensions. I am a Great Lengths Certified Stylist, and Hairtalk certified as well!

I’m especially proud to recently become self-employed! It’s been a dream of mine, I love to work (kind of a workaholic), and I’ve learned over time that I really love the business aspect of my industry. The freedom to work with brands I believe in is dope! There’s been so much more room to be a creative, and to forever stay learning.

What’s the most important piece of advice you could give to a young woman just starting her career?
There are so many women I’m inspired by. My sisters, my mom of course. And I find I’m surrounded by some dope hard-working women. My friends are all goals. I know so many insanely talented hairstylists, makeup artists, scientists, and my best friend is a lawyer- got through school working two jobs and raising kids the entire way. You can’t see that and not feel like you need to step your own game up!

I do find inspiration in myself- my life has had some dark moments, and I think my success really comes from never wanting to be where was I used to be.

And lastly, Rihanna. Because, duh. She’s the whole package.
