Meet Trailblazer Meghan Jacobsen

Today we’d like to introduce you to Meghan Jacobsen.

Meghan, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My friend and I got spray tans for a girl’s trip to Las Vegas. We absolutely loved how we looked, and how we felt. On the plane ride home, my friend suggested that I figure out a way to keep us tan all the time. I immediately started to research spray tanning, and within days, I knew I wanted to start my own business. I purchased the essential materials to get started and taught myself by tanning my friends and family. Originally, I did it out of a room in my house but recently built a small studio to enhance the experience.

Has it been a smooth road?
I feel like it was meant to be from the start because everything kind of just fell into place. I never would have imagined this would be my career path, but I truly do enjoy it. I am passionate about what I do, and I believe my clients can feel that positive energy. I love meeting new people and also catching up with my regulars. A lot of my tans are for special and fun events. I have helped prepare my clients for weddings, balls, galas, and vacations, so there is usually an exciting and happy vibe in the air. If my clients are nervous or uncomfortable, I try to soothe them by talking them through the process. My advice to someone starting their own journey would be to find something that makes them happy and to run with it like I did.

We’d love to hear more about 365 Glow Airbrush Tan.
I specialize in custom airbrush tans. It is a small business, and I perform all the tans myself. After a quick consultation, I custom blend organic solutions to come up with the perfect shade for each client. My specialty is a rapid tan, which is a solution that develops quicker than a standard tan. My clients are able to shower in 2 to 4 hours, whereas some tans you have to wait 10 or more hours. This is a valuable benefit that my clients appreciate that directly leads to repeat business and referrals. I take a lot of pride in my business and want everyone to walk out my door feeling excited about themselves and their new tan!

Which women have inspired you in your life?
I have an amazing group of friends who have been super supportive throughout this journey. The one person in my life that has inspired me the most is my Grandma. She was kind, caring, funny and made everyone feel welcome. She passed away last year and I think of her daily.
