Meet Trailblazer Shannon Lee

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shannon Lee.

Shannon, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started my journey to becoming an entrepreneur about a year ago after I made the decision to walk away from my corporate healthcare career. I’ll never forget the day that I questioned literally everything I was doing, feeling trapped in four walls. I didn’t belong to four walls. I am filled with creativity that was being pushed far, far away. I had a burning desire to reach as many people as possible and help them along their journey’s in life. Be a positive light for them in whatever way possible. So, what better way to do that than using social media as that channel? I started tapping into the things that I’m most passionate about such as dancing, music, #HammieTime, helping those in need, traveling, spreading love, being outdoors, transportation, etc. as if I were a kid all over again, running wild with imagination. So, at the age of 31, I started chasing the life of a lifestyle entrepreneur and without a doubt, I can honestly say I’ve never been more certain about what I’m doing let alone have never been happier with my decisions. I work multiple businesses through network marketing and I absolutely love it. It doesn’t feel like work at all really. My mission is to show that through my brand. With the responses I’ve gotten over this past year, I can full-heartedly say that I know I am on my right path and there’s no way anybody can tell me otherwise. Listen to yourselves guys. Follow that passion and don’t ever give up!

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No way has it been a smooth road! Ha! There are ups and downs all the time and not just in your personal success, but in emotions too! There will be times of doubt, question, and uncertainty. But, it’s through those times that you’ll grow the most! When you’re going through those ruts, remember how far you’ve come and all the good or even the bad decisions you’ve made to get there. That will be your most powerful tool: gratitude. When you can stand in gratefulness & be thankful through the storm, the universe will respond with something even greater! Trust the journey. Believe in yourself. Push through the struggles because it’s all worth it. Stop listening to the negativity of others and trust your gut. Keep your inner circle small and full of others on your same wavelength. Find your positive tribe. Surround yourself with people who are achieving the things that you want to achieve. Have a daily routine focusing on your mindset. You can manifest whatever you believe you can achieve.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Life In A Hammie – what should we know?
I’d have to say that what I’m most known for is # HammieTime. What is #HammieTime? What is Life In A Hammie? It’s about taking time for YOU. Self-care/self-love, unplugging/detoxing, chasing passions, whatever it means for you to live a more relaxed and stress-free life. A life of fulfillment. I literally get tagged in hammock related things from friends and family all over the country because they’ve come to know my love for spending that time in nature in my hammie. When I’m tagged in those things, I’m filled with warmth and happiness. When I get told that my happiness is shining through my content, it puts me on top of the world. It’s about choice. Understanding that we literally have just one life to live and in no way should you be living that trapped inside of a place of darkness or unhappiness. Life In A Hammie represents the things in my lifestyle that have shown to be beneficial and even life-changing in some cases. I represent hammocks. I represent a skin care line that works for my skin. I represent transportation as I love to travel and get people to places safely while listening to my favorite music & enjoying an ever-changing scenery. I represent trees getting planted around the globe. I represent feeding the homeless in my local community. I represent my love for animals. I represent music festivals and artists that I love. I represent building teams and showing others how it’s all possible. I share all of this via social media. Network marketing has opened so many doors and opportunities that I can’t just sit on this alone. Share that knowledge. Spread that positive thought. Influence others to try something new. Spark that imagination that’s within because it’s totally ready to come alive. Change the world through love and action (and sales.)

What’s the most important piece of advice you could give to a young woman just starting her career?
The most important piece of advice I can give is to never give up. The rollercoasters can feel intense, but they’re nothing that you can’t handle. People on the outside are going to have a lot to say about whatever you’re chasing, but do NOT listen to them. Follow your own compass at all times. Going against the “norm” is hard for others to understand at times, but eventually, it’ll all click. They’ll see it, or maybe they won’t, but that’s where you’ll shine even more. There are so many people on this planet so just know that if there’s one person that relates to you and your visions, then you know there’s hundreds more to reach! Keep building your brand no matter what because it’s yours.
