Meet Tricia Hessek of Local Aesthetics of Colorado in Greenwood Village

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tricia Hessek.

Tricia, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Local Aesthetics of Colorado was first conceptualized as I prepared to send the youngest of my three children to Kindergarten. At the time, I was working as a nurse three days per week to stay home with the kid’s part time and with them all in school five days per week, I saw an opportunity. I had been interested in starting my own business and was inspired women entrepreneurs and close friends who had made the leap. From the start, I was insistent on building my company the correct way and refused to cut corners. I am registered, insured, licensed and trained. My goal is to provide the same top-notch service and results as high-end med spas.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My background is nursing not business so it was not easy to start my own company! I literally had no idea where to start but stumbled along finding my way and had fun doing it! I refuse to let myself stress out about it and reminded myself it was an adventure! It felt like I was putting together a puzzle without knowing what the final picture would look like, I’d work day by day on one section at a time figuring it out as I went. I still have my notebook of checklists and scribbles. It is fun to look at it because it reminds me that I have accomplished something amazing.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Local Aesthetics of Colorado – what should we know?
I offer at home cosmetic injectables and skincare. I typically see clients in my home, but with COVID-19, I have been practicing outdoors (hence the pictures in my backyard!). The brands I carry are Dysport, Xeomin and Obagi Medical. I also travel to client’s homes for “Botox Parties” which are a blast! I have clients across the state from Fort Collins to Colorado Springs but mostly serve Centennial and Greenwood Village. Getting injections with me is quite different than visiting a med spa or dermatology office. I have found that most clients come with a friend, it is truly much more enjoyable (and less scary if you’re the nervous type) when you are with your significant other or bestie! An appointment with me is a personal experience, you are in my home, I care deeply about your satisfaction- you are my new friend!

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
The number one key for a successful business in this field is the personal experience the client has with me. I am incredibly honored when I receive comments about how professional, comfortable and safe the experience was. I believe that I have return clients and numerous referrals because I create and experience that I would personally be happy with.
