Meet Ty Frazier of Supa Nova in Aurora

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ty Frazier.

Ty, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started making music when I was in High School at the age of 15 after meeting some fellow musicians at school, we started recording music & doing freestyle cyphers in the courtyard. After honing my craft for a few years, we finally did our first show in 2013 and opened up for Lil Flip. After our group disbanded, I continued to follow my passion for music and perfected my craft producing, recording, writing, and mixing tracks for myself and fellow artists around Denver. I then got into the cannabis industry and made some amazing connections within taking my network to a completely new level and learning how businesses and industries work. I was able to apply that same mindstate to my music which is why I am where I am today.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been a long rocky road with tons of ups, downs, potholes, and roadblocks along the way. Some of the struggles I’ve experienced along the way are being evicted after moving in with another artist, hate and intimidation from other artists in the city, self-doubt, hurt relationships/friendships due to constantly focusing on my passion, financial troubles, outgrowing almost every group setting I placed myself in, and just overall chasing a vision that to most seems unattainable.

What else should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from others?
I produce, write & mix music. I am known for a very spacey, trippy, and soulful sound while mixing in intelligent/conscious lyrics while still keeping it simple and to the point, so listeners can comprehend my words. As an artist, I am most proud of the unique sound I have created, the shows I have thrown, and the amazing artists in Denver that I have been blessed to work with throughout my career.

What sets me apart is my never-ending passion for my music, my continuous and determined work ethic, the content that I put in my songs and my sense of style and aesthetic.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
The Proudest moment of my career so far was the show I threw at Herman’s Hideaway on June 6th, 2019.

This show was the culmination of years of hardwork, trial/error & learning how the music business really works.

This was my first headlining show and also the first show that I completely put together myself including getting all of the artists, fliers, promotions, ticket sales and even DJing the other artists’ sets, this was my greatest show yet.
