We’re looking forward to introducing you to Nick Pelc. Check out our conversation below.
Good morning Nick, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
We’re in the early stages of building something special, a platform we call Augi Sessions, inspired by formats like On The Radar but crafted for our own scene. It’s still in its infancy, but the vision is big: to create the go-to platform for showcasing emerging artists and shaping the sound of Colorado and beyond.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Nick Pelc, and I’m the owner and founder of Augminished Studio, a Colorado-based recording studio that’s become a home for some of the region’s most talented artists. We specialize in rap, hip-hop, and modern vocal production, offering a space where creativity meets precision. Over the years, Augminished has helped shape the sound of countless artists — from underground talent to charting names — and built a reputation for quality, authenticity, and energy.
What makes Augminished unique is that it’s more than just a studio — it’s a creative ecosystem. We mix high-end engineering with a real connection to the culture, giving artists a place to create, develop their sound, and be seen. Right now, we’re expanding that vision through a new platform called Augi Sessions, inspired by shows like On The Radar. It’s our way of spotlighting emerging artists and building a movement that represents the Colorado scene on a national level.
At its core, Augminished Studio is about progress, passion, and sound with purpose — helping artists not just record songs, but define moments.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
Jealousy. Effort is needed to restore them but that takes both sides.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Hard working and I saw the value in taking risks
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
I see a lot of people in the music industry putting on a persona, chasing an image rather than being themselves. I’ve never seen the value in that. What’s always mattered to me is staying grounded and real, even when the spotlight’s on.
The question “Is the public you the real you?” is something I think about often. For me, the goal is for there to be no difference — to make sure the person people see publicly is the same one that exists when the cameras are off. Authenticity lasts longer than any trend.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
Quality, professionalism, price, work ethic, value.
