Rising Stars: Meet Rodney Lambert

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rodney Lambert.

Hi Rodney, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hello, my name is Rodney Lambert I am 21 years of age located in Sterling Colorado, and have lived here my entire life, and this is my story… Growing up as a big kid, my whole life started at a very young age as my father was a single parent, and there was always a lot of tension and stress in the household. My dad worked all day and night to put food on the table and a roof over our heads.

Going to school not having the nicest clothes or the richest parents, or even the nicest house also came with a lot of things such as being bullied. To cope with all of my emotions, I turned to food as I figured out that as I was shoving food down my face it made all of the problems go away, and that is when the weight started stacking on fast forward to the summer of senior year of high school, I was a whopping 420 pounds and I had a major dirtbike accident that should’ve left me paralyzed or dead and the doctors told my family to plan for my funeral.

But I decided to wear a cross that day, as I just felt like it was necessary. A week later after fighting for my life in ICU at Children’s Hospital. I walked out of that place with my chest and my head high! When I return home, I found out I was diagnosed with fatty liver disease from being overweight, and I was predicted not to live past graduation day of high school if I did not make a change to lose weight.

After hearing that news I decided that I was OK with whatever happened nothing scared me anymore. I was so down bad mentally, and physically that I did not care because food is what it takes me out then, so be it as long as it made me happy.. fast forward to sophomore year of college I woke up one day and realized that I am still here and I have a purpose in life because God still has me here after everything he has put me through.

On January 23 of 2020, I cut out all fast food soda and bought a gym membership, and started busting my ass seven days a week day in and day out.. starting my weight loss journey was the hardest part but I wanted it so bad that I did not care I went through all of the negative things that people said about me saying that I wouldn’t make it.

It’s just going to be another failed attempt, and also having people bet money on how fast I would give up.. but once I learned proper nutrition and key cardio exercises. It was game on.. the weight started falling off like nothing and it was incredibly one of the best feelings I’ve ever witnessed.. after losing 100 pounds in less than a year I found out I needed to get a full reconstructive leg surgery so I would not be disabled in my early 20s that with a fire under my ass to keep pushing as I do not want to see myself fail.

I reached 200 pounds down and I was able to get the surgery which was a full 10-hour $1 million reconstructive leg surgery that left me bedridden for three months and on crutches for six months. Mentally having the walls closing on you is a tough battle that not very many people talk about. I continue to push every single day to be the best version of myself as I never want to get back to that.

I decided in early 2022 that I wanted to compete in a bodybuilding competition to showcase my transformation nationally at summer shredding in Houston Texas. I went through an 18-week prep, got to the lowest body fat percentage I have ever been in my entire life, and I placed fourth out of 30 individuals that have changed their life for the best. It was one of the most amazing experiences sharing a stage with those individuals.

Since June 2022, I have reached over 800 million people with my transformation and my story and my overall goal every single day is to inspire and motivate people around the world by overcoming too near death experiences I understand not every day as promised, and I do not wish that upon anybody as I do believe too many people take advantage of that.

I love to walk around with a smile on my face as you never know what that smile could do for somebody walking by you you do not know what they are going through at the end of the day mentally or physically you could save somebody’s life without even knowing it. My goals for 2023 It’s to continue my online coaching and personal training, get my extra skin removed, get my other leg reconstructed as well, and overall grow as a human being, mentally, and physically, to be the best version of myself as I want to go down in history, as being that guy!

Thank you so much for reading this. I love you.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I had plenty of so called challenges such as my reconstructive leg surgery and the mental battles through everyday life growing up over 400lbs.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?

I do a lot of social media posting, such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube as a content creator and I do online coaching & personal training to help as many people as I can become the best versions of themselves physically & mentally day in and day out.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Characteristics I believe helped me be successful would be the mindset and mentality that you can do anything you put your mind to.
