Meet Carmelo Paglialunga of Milehimodern in Cherry Creek and Lohi

Today we’d like to introduce you to Carmelo Paglialunga.

Carmelo, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My family immigrated to Toronto from Sicily. Growing up, like my father, I was a very business-minded person and loved connecting with people. Because of these attributes and my enterprising spirit, I moved to New York City where I began my real estate career at a top Brokerage Firm. After building my career in NYC, I decided I wanted to set down more permanent roots and moved to Denver in 2009. With a fresh focus on my career, I dove into sales in Denver and quickly worked my way up (with lots of hard work!) to the top 1% of Brokers and have sold over half a billion dollars worth of real estate to date. I believe my success comes in part to my motto of communication being key, and having a positive attitude doesn’t hurt in this industry. Buying or selling real estate is most often an individual’s biggest financial decision and being positive and reassuring throughout the process is key!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Like any successes in your life or career, there are many challenges! I can say that one of the biggest challenges in my professional life was opening up my own brokerage, which has ultimately turned into the biggest reward! Starting from scratch and building a brand and company that I continue to be excited about and proud of daily is immensely rewarding. We had to throw caution to the wind and stand by our vision of out-of-the-box thinking in order to get to where we are today, with a renowned and sought after real estate firm.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I’m not sure I can tell you that! Just kidding! Our firm continues to grow by hiring real estate professionals and staff who look at real estate sales in a different light. My partners and I believe that every property tells a story and everyone who joins our firm who heartedly believes that as well. We are fortunate to have brokers and staff who have had long and successful careers in real estate and that is inspiring to me. My hope is to continue to grow and build in the same direction that we have been and to continue to turn real estate marketing on its ear.
