Courtney and Taylor, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
We have been the best of friends since 7th grade and have always had a love for ice cream. A couple of years after graduating college, we came up with the crazy idea to start our own mobile, custom ice cream sandwich business. We wanted to bring a little more sweetness to the streets of Denver! From there, Sprinkle Me Smitten was born!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Yes, pretty smooth! However, we went into this with no experience in food or business. We definitely learned from some obstacles along the way, but without those mistakes, we wouldn’t be where we are today! We jumped in headfirst and we truly believe you can do anything you want with hard work and dedication!
Please tell us about Sprinkle Me Smitten.
We specialize in custom ice cream sandwiches! We wanted a place where people could go to create their own dessert made specially for them. Our guests can pick their top and bottom cookie flavors, their ice cream flavor and choice of toppings and we make it right there on the truck! As a company, we are most proud of the fact that we had an idea and we followed through with it, from the bottom up. We would say what stands us apart from other speciality desserts, is that to us the best part of owning a custom ice cream sandwich business is the happiness we get to witness on our customer’s faces every single day!
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Oh, that’s a tough one! We would have to say to always listen to our gut and using our best judgement regardless of what others might be doing.
