Fall Fest at Boulder Social isn’t just about live music, seasonal drinks, or even meeting the beloved Pickles the Mini Horse — it’s about connection. Now in its second year, the celebration once again shines a spotlight on Daisy Chain Sanctuary, a Boulder nonprofit dedicated to giving retired and handicapped horses a second chance at purpose while helping people heal through those bonds.
With every pour, every painted face, and every moment of joy shared, the festival brings the community together in support of compassion, healing, and hope. We sat down with Daisy Chain Sanctuary to talk about what this partnership means, what attendees can look forward to this year, and how Fall Fest inspires people to get involved long after the music ends.

This is the second year of Fall Fest at Boulder Social. Why is supporting Daisy Chain Sanctuary such a meaningful part of the event, and what does this partnership mean for the community?
Fall Fest at Boulder Social is more than just a fun day out—it’s a celebration of compassion, connection, and community. This is our second year teaming up, and we’re so grateful to Boulder Social for embracing our mission at Daisy Chain Sanctuary. Their support allows us to reach new hearts and share our story with people who might not have found us otherwise.
This partnership is meaningful because it reflects what we stand for: creating a ripple of kindness. Every beer poured, every child with a face paint smile, and every moment spent with Pickles the mini horse helps us continue our work—giving retired and handicapped horses a second chance at purpose, while helping people heal, love and grow through those connections.

From meeting Pickles the Mini Horse to live music and fall-themed food and drinks, there’s a lot happening! What are you most excited for attendees to experience this year?
Honestly? I’m most excited to see people’s faces light up when they meet Pickles. There’s just something about standing beside a gentle, soulful little horse that brings out the best in people—kids and grownups alike. Add in live music, fall-themed bites and drinks, plus face painting for the littles? It’s a feel-good day from start to finish.
We’ve got something for everyone—whether you’re here to enjoy a local brew, dance to great music, or take in the crisp fall air surrounded by joy. It’s the kind of event that reminds you how good it feels to be part of a community.
How do you hope events like Fall Fest inspire people to get more involved with local nonprofits like Daisy Chain Sanctuary, either during the festival or beyond?
Our hope is that Fall Fest plants a seed. That someone who stops by for a drink or to pet a horse walks away feeling more connected—to themselves, to their community, and to something bigger.
Maybe they’ll come volunteer. Maybe they’ll sponsor a horse. Maybe they’ll just start seeing animals—and each other—with more compassion. That’s the magic of events like this: they don’t just raise funds; they raise awareness, kindness, and curiosity.
At Daisy Chain Sanctuary, we believe that 30 minutes with a horse will change your life. And Fall Fest is just the beginning of that journey.
