For creator and entrepreneur Kaytee Shashore, completing her third and fourth magazine features in quick succession represents a powerful full‑circle moment in a journey that began back in 2009 with her own online publication. With collaborations spanning more than 100 brands, Shashore has built a reputation for blending authenticity with creativity, carefully aligning each partnership with her personal voice and values. As she prepares a special photoshoot to commemorate the milestone, she’s also looking ahead—dreaming of launching a podcast to inspire future creators, developing a skincare‑meets‑makeup product, and expanding into larger beauty campaigns with brands like BioClarity, Sephora, and Ulta Beauty. For Shashore, every feature, collaboration, and creative risk is another step toward building a platform that celebrates ambition, authenticity, and the power of speaking big dreams out loud.
Kaytee, you’ve just completed your third and fourth magazine features with us in a short span of time — what does this moment represent for you in your career, and how has sharing your story with our readership felt?
I truly feel so honored and excited to have completed my third and fourth magazine features with you. It genuinely means the world to me. Being invited back again — and now celebrating multiple features together — feels incredibly full circle, especially considering I began my career in 2009 as the owner and founder of my online magazine, The Sexy Side of Colorado.
Moments like this remind me exactly why I started creating in the first place. To see my work recognized in this way fills me with deep gratitude and pride, and it reassures me that I am continuing to grow and evolve in my journey as a creator. Sharing my story with your readers has been an incredible privilege, and I am beyond grateful for the opportunity.
You mentioned planning an elaborate photoshoot to highlight these latest features on social media. What inspired the concept, and how do you approach translating press milestones into visual storytelling for your audience?
After completing my third feature, I realized I really wanted to pause and intentionally celebrate these milestones. These moments mean so much to me, and I felt it was important to be thoughtful about how I share them with my audience. I took time to reflect on how I wanted to honor both the third and fourth features in a way that feels aligned with my journey.
I don’t want to give too many details away before the official announcement, but I can say that I’ll be celebrating both features in a way that feels exciting, meaningful, and authentic to my story as a creator. It’s very personal to me, and I can’t wait to share it.
With ongoing collaborations across more than 100 brands, how do you balance consistency with creativity while keeping your content authentic and aligned with your personal brand?
Honestly, balancing my brand partnerships could be considered a talent in itself. I take great pride in building long-term relationships with the brands I work with — that consistency and trust mean everything to me. For every partnership, I’m committed to creating high-quality, thoughtful content that reflects both professionalism and creativity.
I always take the time to truly understand each brand — their products, their values, and the story they’re telling. From there, I thoughtfully merge their narrative with my own in a way that feels seamless and authentic to my audience. I’m also very intentional about only partnering with brands I genuinely believe in and personally use, which makes the creative process feel natural and aligned.
And honestly, as an Aquarius, creativity has always come naturally to me. It’s simply part of who I am — and I think that innate creative spirit plays a huge role in how I bring every collaboration to life.
How have these recent media features influenced the way brands, collaborators, or your audience engage with you?
I truly feel that being featured has elevated my credibility as a content creator. It signals to brands and collaborators that my work and story are being recognized on a larger platform, which naturally strengthens the value of my personal brand. It also allows the content I’ve created — including collaborations with some of my favorite brands — to be showcased to a broader audience, increasing visibility and potential interest in their products as well.
From my audience’s perspective, I believe these features reinforce trust and confidence in what I do. They see that my work is being acknowledged beyond my own platforms, which adds another layer of legitimacy to my brand. That credibility translates into deeper trust when I recommend a product or share a partnership, and that trust is something I value immensely.
Looking ahead, what kind of growth or opportunities are you most excited to lean into next — creatively or professionally?
Looking ahead, I’m incredibly excited about expanding my voice and visibility in new ways. One of my goals is to be interviewed on a well-known, impactful podcast — or even to create my own podcast where I can share my story on a deeper level. I would love to create a space that inspires future creators, artists, and entrepreneurs to pursue their dreams with confidence.
Professionally, I’m very passionate about product development. I’ve had an idea for a skincare-meets-makeup product for quite some time, and bringing that vision to life would be a dream. Ideally, I would love to collaborate with a brand like BioClarity, as they’ve been a valued long-term ambassador partnership for me — but I would absolutely be open to partnering with any beauty or skincare brand that aligns with my values and vision.
Another dream of mine would be to be featured in a major beauty or skincare campaign — seeing my image on billboards or in-store displays at retailers like Sephora or Ulta Beauty would truly be a full-circle moment.
I’m also excited about the possibility of being invited on paid brand trips and traveling to beautiful destinations with the brands I’m fortunate to work with. Experiences like that not only expand my creative perspective but also allow me to connect more deeply with my community.
In addition, I wouldn’t be opposed to stepping back into acting one day. I had the opportunity to work as an extra in the Amateur movie on Netflix in 2016–2017, and it was such an incredible experience. I would love to see my content creation career organically evolve into more acting opportunities in the future.
I’m also genuinely excited to see how being part of your Spotlight Program helps elevate my career this year and opens doors to new creative possibilities.
I believe in manifesting my big dreams aloud and I’m not afraid of putting in the work to make them come true.
