Today we’d like to introduce you to Ben and Tom Kimball.
Kimball Productions was formed in 2006 by Tom and Ben Kimball as we sought to create a media production company to help businesses make engaging video stories to give voice to their passion with wonder, joy, and clarity. Over a decade and hundreds of videos later, we believe we’ve done just that. Making engaging videos is challenging work, but with Kimball Productions it’s fun too.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Some of the obstacles we’ve faced include everything from foreign customs to the Great Recession and any number of technical challenges along the way. What sets us apart is that every problem we encounter, we ask the question WHY. We’ve found that when we ask ‘why’ we can get to the root of the issue and create a solution that will help us navigate around future obstacles so we can continue to serve our clients—and have fun doing it.

Our mission at Kimball Productions is to help businesses make engaging video stories. What that typically looks like is a lot of listening. We seek to understand our clients deeply so that we can serve them best. We’re experts at drawing out the passion behind all the technical details and the ‘how’ of our clients so we can represent their ‘why’ more effectively to their customers and other stakeholders. We’re most proud of how respected our clients feel while working with us, how much they trust us with their stories and customers, and the incredible work we can create together through collaboration.

The list of people who have contributed to making Kimball Productions what it is today is truly limitless. Every client we meet teaches us something. Other collaborators in our field bring new understanding. We’ve dedicated ourselves to a love of learning that bleeds into every area of our lives. We’re thankful to former military commanders and colleagues who taught us the value of attention to detail and integrity. Shadow Play Films has been our strategic partner from the beginning from training us to helping equip us, and today, making us sharper with every project by pushing us to be the best.
