Charlie, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My brother Mike and I got the idea for creating scavenger hunts while traveling together several years ago. We were wandering around the city of St. Louis and saw an opportunity to use an app to guide people from landmark to landmark. Together, we used our programming background and entrepreneurial spirit, along with our love for exploration to build a new way to explore any city. We took that idea and expanded it, added functionality and created a more robust app, to eventually create Let’s Roam, which has over 400 scavenger hunts in more than 350 cities. We offer a wide range of custom activities now, including team building, bachelorette parties, birthday parties and more!
Has it been a smooth road?
I would say that overall, it has been a smooth road, but as with any start-up, we have seen some hiccups along the way. Technology changes fast in today’s digital world, so we have to stay on top of that to ensure that our app remains the top scavenger hunt app in the world! Our team does an amazing job of keeping up with the trends to provide our scavenger hunters with the best possible experience.

Let’s Roam is an international scavenger hunt company based here in Denver. We specialize in creating activities that help people explore and connect in their city through app-based adventures. Our tours take you on a walking scavenger hunt where you’ll discover cool landmarks, answer trivia questions and complete fun photo challenges. Each registered player has a different role, which encourages interaction from every person. They are fun for the whole family.
Unique to Denver, we just launched a digital dining membership. I’m a firm believer in luck, but one thing that most people don’t realize is that you can create your own luck. It’s a lot easier to be lucky when you consistently work hard and learn new skills. We’ve been lucky when building Let’s Roam and that’s due to all the hard work our team has put into building a great experience.
