Meet Jeffrey Fierberg of Sora Digital in Dairy Block

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeffrey Fierberg.

Jeffrey, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My parents were both in news, and I grew up in the newsrooms of Denver in the 90s. Since I was a young kid, I have been obsessed with photos and videos. After working in the corporate world, leading training, and content teams, I decided to start my own business with a few friends from Film School. My dream has always been to travel the world with a camera in my hand and build a business that helps create growth opportunities for clients and collaborators alike.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Nothing about owning a business and working for yourself is smooth, I would say. When times are good, I work 20 hour days, rarely see my friends or family, and walk around with a huge grin on my face because my life is perfect, if not overwhelming and stressful. When times are tough, the stress is palpable in every way. I have always found that the biggest part of the hustle lifestyle is the isolation. To be an entrepreneur is to know how it feels to be on an island, potentially with a partner, and potentially not.

Please tell us about Sora Digital.
Sora Digital turns five this year, and we haven’t strayed from the mission we began with: To bring the best creative, the best designs and the best strategies to clients, meeting them where they are with flexible plans for payment and custom packages for every job. From branding and company ideation to VR film experiences, we do anything and everything. Our specialties are in Photo/Video, web design and graphic design. Let’s make some cool shit together, get in touch and let’s grab a coffee!

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I think with hindsight, I would’ve grown faster but that doesn’t mean I’d change our trajectory or the choices I made. But I think about the first year or so of striking out on my own as one of the hardest and absolute best of my life. I don’t know what I’d be doing if not making media and helping brands and companies create content and tell stories.
