Today we’d like to introduce you to Leanne Holitza.
Leanne, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I was always “sensitive” as they say, but coupled with a type-A personality I was driven to get my life going at full speed. I started my adult life working in the corporate world of marketing for a large company. I graduated with my master’s degree while working full-time and seven months pregnant with our first child at age 23. I had a passionate desire to be self sufficient and hit the ground running going into adulthood. However, the universe had other plans. Seven years into my marriage, things hit a low point. I had to have back surgery, my husband and I were not coping well with corporate stress, young kids, and life. I began to curse at the world and ask, “What am I doing wrong? I followed all the “rules.”
I began to get answers fairly quickly in magical ways. I saw signs in everything. The perfect book would present itself and give me new ways to perceive reality. Classes began the moment I needed them to. Suddenly I realized my true calling did not reside in the corporate world. I was torn between a job that could check all the usual boxes, or take a leap of faith and follow my passion. I chose my personal goals, in a profession that leaves me feeling fulfilled personally while also making a difference by helping people.
Initially, I worked part-time at a metaphysical shop doing psychic readings while working my full-time corporate job. These provided my “practice” readings. I quickly became the “head reader.” My popularity was growing and word was spreading about what I could read in someone’s energy field and the healings I could provide.
I started working on my own, from home, still as a side-job in 2007. Then I got the boot and was laid off. I began spending more and more time dedicated to my healing work. Healing myself and healing others. It was amazing! I began learning more about my abilities as an energy healer and found my passion in readings.
To someone who has never explored what alternative medicine has to offer, a session with me at first may seem like no more than a consultation where you leave feeling a sense of direction, relief or reassurance. Some of my clients describe it as feeling like a weight had been lifted off of their chest. The more I opened to myself and my gifts, the more people started showing up to receive the work. People begged me to teach them what I was doing, so I began to teach classes in my basement at home.
In 2014, I got an office outside of the house to give my family a break from all the visitors who came for sessions. By 2015 I needed to find a new office. I actually had difficulty finding a place to rent because of the stigma around the work I do. My realtor came to me one day and said “How about buying a place? There is a building for sale. I think you might like it.” I knew the building was a big project from the beginning. I had no idea how I was going to turn this thing into a gem. My clients began to rally for me to move forward. One was even kind enough to help me with a private mortgage, others came and helped move furniture, paint, and create what is now The Healing Studio.
Five years later, we have many healers working and teaching out of the studio. I teach classes on energy healing, manifesting, past lives, etc. I do one-on-one sessions for all ages including helping couples, parents, and business partners understand their energy fields and improve their manifestation abilities.
Has it been a smooth road?
The biggest obstacle? The stigma of energy healing. Trusting a journey that still holds so much stigma has been challenging. Many of my neighbors, friends, the parents of my children’s friends, were judgmental of my journey and had a hard time accepting the work I was doing. My religious stepmother, never seeing my work or knowing exactly what I was doing once told me I was working with the devil. My stepfather still says he doesn’t believe in it. When I post ads on Facebook, I get trolls telling me I am nuts.
This work is amazing and I have seen it help hundreds if not thousands of people. Yet there is still this cloud over energy healing, intuition, and psychic work that is difficult to get around. When I was starting my business, landlords refused to rent to me just because of the type of work. The BBB said my work was not legitimate after approaching me to sell a membership, again never having learned about or experiencing the work.
There have been other obstacles, but this has been the biggest.

I offer lots of options, including readings, classes, meditations and metaphysical gifs, all under my brand Insightful Inspirations. My subtle energy skills and knowledge is what I offer in my readings. I am able to see people’s energy fields, their thoughts, their traumas, and how they are being held back by them. I am then able to make subtle suggestions to those fields to invite new possibilities and healing energy shifts. This is what I call energy healing. It is a hands-off approach, much like working in a counseling office, except I tell you about your story rather than you telling me. I specialize in seeing thought forms as aids or hindrances to your ability to manifest the journey you wish to be on. I can then help you enhance or clear out those limiting thoughts.
I also offer classes to help people expand their consciousness and understand their own healing journey. I personally teach classes on subtle energy and energetic hygiene. We also have teachers who do sound baths, Reiki, crystals, and more.
My building, The Healing Studio, offers a safe space for healers and clients to learn more about themselves and this work without fear of judgment. Many who share my perspective and even regular clients often struggle with the stigma of turning to energy work and find peace and confidence meeting other like-minded people, curious about the same things that they are. People seek my help for anything from learning how to make progress on their journey to find spirituality, or having a hard time coping with all the usual stresses of work, school, family, children.
We are all about empowering our community to tap into their conscious creator side and begin shaping the world in a more positive, cooperative light.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
It’s definitely become more supportive over the years. There is room for this kind of work, although still stigmatized, there is enough safety and security to begin exploring it. It is difficult to work on self-actualization if you are afraid, struggling, etc. Our city is open and loving enough to have space for this work.
