Meet Lori and Carly Drienka-Hallmark Of Carly’s Boutique In Olde Town Arvada

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lori and Carly Drienka-Hallmark.

Lori and Carly, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
This cute little victorian house in Olde Town Arvada called my name 15 years ago. It had previously been a women’s boutique and many other businesses since 1874 when it was built. Having a healing arts center occupying the space from the beginning, the progression into introducing a women’s boutique came very natural. The two businesses complement each other well, as our main focus is to enrich the lives of our clients. Involving my daughters Carly and Aubrey created a very fun aspect of the business. We love to shop and seek out quality items creating a beautiful and unique experience to each client.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Retail can be a challenge, but we have enjoyed the learning experience and are always seeking to gain knowledge within the industry in order to better serve our clients and community.

Tell us more about the business.
We specialize in carrying beautiful quality clothing that fits a variety of women. We are not your average boutique! We have an amazing selection of gifts and accessories that you won’t find elsewhere with a wide variety of hand made and local made jewelry. We are known for our extraordinary customer service and offer a customized experience to everyone who walks in our door or schedules online for a virtual shopping experience with us. What we are most proud of as a company is our ability to adapt. During the challenging COVID-19 pandemic we have found a way to thrive and connect to our community by making handmade masks. We call this project “Labor of Love” where we have provided them to our community for purchase, and have launched a program to donate masks to local seniors in need.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I feel very blessed to have the family that I do who have stood by me in the creation of this business. I am very lucky to have that kind of support and is what I believe has helped us to thrive all these years.

Thats My Jam: We make jam (spreadable fruit) that is inspired by music! Fun for the foodie, the fan and the fam! We infuse the fruit with various types of booze to create a unique flavor profile, but the alcohol does cook out so its safe for the kids.
