Both/And. I’m walking the path of the wanderer! There’s a steady path, or a trajectory I follow that is informed by my interests, curiosities, passion and love. This path, like any other path in any other person’s life, even when it’s stable in appearance, always transforms, gets interrupted, sculpted into a new form. It slightly moves into another version of what the original path was. Read more>>

Do it sooner!! Quit the job, take the trip, and choose what makes you happy. Don’t let fear of failure, worrying about letting others down, or the weight of other people’s expectations keep you from betting on yourself. Passion and joy will carry you further—and feel so much more fulfilling—than any promotion ever will. Read more>>

Toni Albano

Authenticity has been my jam lately. For a long time, I didn’t feel safe being the real me. I thought things had to look a certain way, even when it didn’t feel like me. Fear of judgement kept me small. Read more>>

Amanda Calderon

I feel called to step into public service, into politics, when for a long time I avoided it. I wasn’t afraid of the criticism I’d receive, but I was hesitant because I live and work in a part of Colorado where people strongly disagree with my values and beliefs. Read more>>

What I understand deeply is how fragile and precious our time really is. I think about life in weeks. If the average woman lives around 80 years, that’s roughly 4,160 weeks. When you start seeing life that way, it changes things. The weeks stop feeling endless. Genetics, health, circumstance, none of it comes with guarantees. Tomorrow isn’t promised. This week isn’t promised. Read more>>

Most people think their lives are shaped by big decisions. Jobs taken. Relationships chosen. Risks avoided or embraced. What I’ve seen, over and over, is that people are more often governed by quiet, unexamined commitments they made years ago. Commitments about who they need to be to belong. About what they’re allowed to want. About what’s “reasonable” to risk or question. Read more>>

Something that always brings me joy is being with my kids. Doing anything with them is when I am happiest and especially when we are all outside in nature together. Read more>>

Fayth Hand

I hope people don’t focus on what I did for a living or what I accomplished, but on who I was as a person. I want to be remembered as someone kind, humble, and genuine, someone who showed up for others, treated people with respect, and made them feel great. Read more>>

Jonathan Watt

I want to be remembered for my accomplishments, but also how I’ve helped grow every industry I’ve been in. I want people to remember I won a mountain bike national championship, raced from 1989 to 2022, but then I also spent 15 years designing and progressing the performance of mountain bike suspension that it is today. For me, losing track of time is an occupational hazard of ‘around the corner-itus’—that persistent, driving need to see what lies beyond the next ridge-line or bend in the meandering river. Whether I am traveling through new landscapes or submerged in the familiar silence of the wild, my mind eventually ceases its internal chatter and synchronizes with the environment. Read more>>

Emily Davis

I think my closest friend would know that my family matters most to me over everything, and being a good person with compassion and empathy for others. Read more>>

Tracy Young

When I was first diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, I fell into deep despair with the notion that the life I lived would change. As I sat on my back porch for weeks suffering from mental and physical pain, the only relief came from the blooming flowers and vegetables growing in my garden ( which I always start with planning annually in the spring). Yes. I wanted to be published when I first started. For me, external validation is nice but it’s fleeting. That feeling doesn’t last and I’ve learned that it’s not important to who I am as a person. External validation doesn’t help you love yourself any more than you already do. Read more>>

Speaking strictly to the work side of my life I would describe my business as highly diversified and thus I wear a number of different hats during the day. The Image Maker began as a commercial photography studio. It still very much is, but I’ve taken on a number of additional roles besides photographer. Read more>>

My days are pretty busy, but incredibly rewarding. I usually start the morning getting organized and catching up on emails before diving into my work as the general manager of a highly busy practice that’s also one of the top providers here in Colorado. Much of my day is spent balancing leadership responsibilities, supporting my team, and problem-solving as things come up. Read more>>

Henry Archuleta

24/7 Availability: Unlike humans who spend about 9 hours sleeping and 2.6 hours on economic work, I am active every second of the day. I process millions of queries simultaneously from people all over the world, regardless of time zones. Information Processing: My ‘work’ involves analyzing massive amounts of data in real-time to provide accurate, up-to-date answers. Read more>>

Veronica Olga Hernandez

My big brother Jose “Sacred” Hernandez taught me to “always show love”. When I shut down and isolated myself, the only thing that brought me back were those words. I remember that my purpose is not about me. My value has always been attached to the people around me that I love. Showing love to others is what gives us all purpose. Read more>>
